HISTORY:

History of Lo-Pha Society, Inc.

 

On May 25, 1985, seventy-two Lo and Pha leaders gathered in Denver, Colorado to discuss the possibility of forming an organization to guide the Lo and Pha clans on improving their welfare in America.

 

Their Concerns Were:

 

True unity and understanding between the Hmong Lo and Pha from Xiengkhouang, Sam Neua, and other provinces of Laos.

 

True Unity and understanding between the Hmong Lo and Pha clans.

 

Marriage, conflict, and legal traditional issues with other Hmong groups.

 

To work with other Hmong as a means to earn respect for the Lo and Pha clans.

 

Other concerns include education, scholarship, economic issues, and general advancement in the American Society while maintaining the Hmong culture.
